Halloween

Halloween projects

I found some really cool ideas on Pinterest that I wanted to try for Halloween. One of them was making an antique photo look either funny or creepy. I wanted to add some humor to this one, but it ended up looking both funny and creepy at the same time.

I saw this concept in a magazine last year and thought it was worth a try this year. A really small pumpkin has to be used in order to make this idea work, but I lucked out and was able to find some really big close up magazine ads to use.

Halloween Finds!

Saturday was a perfect day for a drive to look at fall colors. Here are some Halloween themed photos from that drive.

Halloween fun

Ghost Of Halloween Past

To kick off the count down to Halloween, I decided to post some pictures from Halloween a few years ago.

No, it is not the M&M guy's, it is the P&P guy's! These pumpkins are in costume to look like M&M guy's, not realizing that they are being stalked by sinister pumpkins who think they are actually candy.
I drew the faces on with Sharpies, and made the arms and legs (booties) out of felt, pinned in the pumpkins.

This is just funny. Break time in the workplace on Halloween.

Somebody spent to much time reading the paper in the potty!

DIY Phone Cases

There are so many really cool cell phone cases out there...many of which are also really expensive. I have found that creating my own can be considerably cheaper.

I look for discounted cases in clearance bins (for really cheap!), and if I do not like the color, I repaint it. ( I always have spray paint left over from other projects.) I print my illustrations on label sheets, stick into place, and spray a clear coat of gloss as a sealer on the whole case. (Mod Podge works as well.) I like to use label sheets because I can also print photos on them to use.

Doing this to an old case you already have that is getting worn, or a case you are just sick of, is even better!

It is also fun to glue items to cases, even if they do not always want to stay on.
